I grew up in a home marked by poverty and brokenness, but these challenges strengthened my dependence on God. I recognized Jesus as the Son of God and Lord of my life, choosing to follow Him at a young age. As my faith grew deeper, I committed at 17 to reading and studying the Bible daily. At 18, I dedicating myself to regular worship and Sunday school at a local United Methodist Church. Through my young adult years, I continued to draw closer to God. In 1999, at the age of 25, I answered the call to ministry as a Methodist pastor. I have served in pastoral ministry since 2000 and was ordained as an elder in full connection with the United Methodist Church in 2008.
In 2024, I transferred my credentials to the Global Methodist Church, a new expression of traditional, biblical Methodism for the 21st century. My passion is to help people grow closer to Jesus through everything I say and do. I believe we come to know God most fully through the study of His Word and through Christ-centered community. Below, you’ll find more details about my journey in ministry, my educational background, and how my years of experience equip me to offer Bible studies, sermons, and other resources that can be used in your church or study group.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Engineering Technology from Southern Tech (now Kennesaw State University) and a Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. During my theological studies, I focused on Christian history, theology, biblical studies, church polity, and ministry leadership, which provided a strong foundation for understanding Scripture and serving the church. Alongside my formal education, I’ve been actively involved in the Walk to Emmaus movement, completed the New Church Planting Academy, and participated in three years of ACE training (Academy for Clergy Excellence).
I have also had the privilege of traveling extensively across the United States and abroad, including mission trips to Guatemala and El Salvador, as well as visits to Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. These experiences have enriched my ministry and equipped me to offer biblically sound and engaging resources for both individuals and groups.
I have served as a pastor for over two decades, ministering at four different churches: Lithia Springs UMC (2000-2003), Highland UMC (2003-2005), Mt. Zion UMC (2005-2010), and Pleasant Grove Methodist (2010-present). Throughout my ministry, I’ve preached thousands of sermons, led numerous Bible studies, counseled individuals, and helped congregations grow spiritually. I have had the privilege of walking alongside families through both joyful and difficult times, always striving to point them to the hope and truth found in Jesus Christ. My pastoral ministry shapes my teaching and preaching by transforming scholarly research into practical insights that apply to everyday life.
My ministry has extended beyond the church walls through various online platforms, including a weekly blog, YouTube videos, podcasts, and other digital resources. These experiences have shaped my approach to teaching, which is always aimed at being accessible, relatable, and deeply rooted in Scripture. I have a deep desire to spread the Truth of God's Word as far and wide and possible.
My prayer is that the materials on this resource page will be a blessing to your spiritual journey, and that they will help you, your church, or your study group grow in faith and understanding of God’s Word.
As part of my ministry, I offer downloadable Bible studies designed for small groups, churches, or personal study. These resources grew out of my own need for accessible, easy-to-use studies that are thought-provoking and inspire deeper spiritual growth among participants. Each study is grounded in my personal research, developed while preparing to preach and teach in a local church setting. My aim is to present the deep truths of Scripture in a way that is both relevant and understandable for everyday people. Ultimately, my goal is not just to impart knowledge but to foster transformation—helping students grow closer to Christ and live holy lives that glorify God.
My past sermons and sermon series are available in multiple formats. You can read sermon manuscripts on my blog, listen to them on my podcast, or watch them on my YouTube channel.
In addition to sermons, my YouTube channel features homesteading, gardening, and DIY content, offering practical advice for everyday life while reflecting on spiritual truths.
I am available for speaking and teaching engagements, depending on my ministry schedule. As a full-time pastor, my availability is limited, but feel free to contact me to explore opportunities.
Whether you have a question or want to discuss a project or opportunity, I’d be happy to connect. Feel free to reach out to me by email.
